I have photographed all over the world, but never imagined scenes like those I found in the Yukon. Inconnu is a photographer's dream.
The chef prepared a feast over an open fire in front of the Lodge. The sky was golden as the sun finally set over the cabins.
Having been to Inconnu Lodge at various times over the years, I find it a very unique retreat worthy of return. Whether with my wife or fishing buddies, the remoteness combined with first class comfort satisfies all. Our gracious hosts, Warren, his wife Anita, and staff have made our stays at Inconnu memorable affairs for both my family and friends.
After lunch, we dug into a gravel bar and began swirling the water around the pan - it wasn't long before a few bright specks caught a flash of sunlight. I don't think we'll start another Klondike Gold Rush, but it was fun to get a few flakes of gold... in the Yukon.
I was expecting a bunk house with sleeping bags - what I found was a perfectly furnished warm cabin with fresh linen and a view of the lake and hot tub.
Our first trip to Inconnu was a trip of a lifetime.. and we have been coming back for the past 15 years. You better come prepared .... to be amazed, over and over again...
